DISPATCHER TIPS
Skills
When you have a relevant skill, new dialogue options appear in brackets. These often lead to better outcomes or reveal hidden story content. Some calls play completely differently depending on your skill set.
Resources
Ambulance, Police, and Fire units have cooldown periods after dispatch. Plan your resource allocation carefully across multiple calls.
Stars
Your performance on each call is rated 1-5 stars. Empathy, correct decisions, and using skills at the right time all improve your rating.
Manager
Once you earn the Phone Book skill, you can contact your manager during calls. They can restore depleted resources and provide guidance.
Replay
Replaying calls with new skills often reveals hidden paths and better outcomes. Some calls have entirely different resolutions depending on your certifications.
Listen
Callers often provide important information in their dialogue. Details mentioned early in a call may become relevant later.
Shifts
Your skills and progress carry forward between shifts. Completing Shift One unlocks new capabilities in Shift Two, including the Team Hub - where you begin building a team for the resistance. Get the Season Pass to unlock all shifts.
STUCK?
Hints for common challenges. Click to reveal.
The system is asking for a "challenge code"

Look carefully at everything displayed on screen before the choices appear.

I need another hint

The system shows you an error. That error is significant.

Just tell me the answer

The error IS the code. Enter: 6 - 1 - 2 - 11

I can't contact the manager

Manager contact requires the Phone Book skill. This is earned during an early call - pay attention when the manager explains the system.

The neighborhood walk keeps failing (Noise Complaint)

This call requires the Kung Fu skill to trigger the walk. Without it, the call resolves differently.

I have Kung Fu but keep dying

Two things kill you: pulse over 195, and going downhill. Watch your caller's heart rate and avoid any downhill paths.

How do I know which way to go on Cleveland?

The corner house numbers tell you everything. Lower numbers (699, 799) mean go Left. Higher number (899) means go Right. The party is at 815.

Give me a safe route

From home: Rothrock → Left on Rothrock → Sneak past the dog → Straight to Cleveland → Left at 699 → Cleveland at 800 block → Arrival. Be friendly for 5 stars.

A caller is communicating strangely

Some callers use non-standard communication. If you hear patterns of dots and dashes, the Morse Code skill will help you understand them.

The terminal is asking for a file path (hacking)

This puzzle references a real external document. The game tells you to "USE VSX TROUBLESHOOTING QUICK GUIDE" - that's not just flavor text.

Where do I find this guide?

Search for "VSX Troubleshooting" online. The document exists on Scribd.

What page has the answer?

Page 15, "Location of NCS Files".

Just tell me the path

$FWDIR → state → VSX_NAME → VSX

I keep getting low star ratings

Stars reward empathy and thoroughness. Ask follow-up questions, show concern for callers, and use skills when available. Rushing or being dismissive lowers your rating.

All my resources are depleted

Resources regenerate over time. If you have the Phone Book skill, contact the manager - they can restore resources immediately.
